Why, does Bass Brain play Crush? I liked Robert Sweet's playing back in 1988 when I saw them play at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia, PA!

Should we start with bashing the soundman/men/women first?

That's a pretty blanket statement about a brand (Keller)? when there are dozens of factors in a live gig.

Or, did he let you sit behind them? If so, do tell the what's and why's.

The only thing that could make this thread more of a potential flame-fest would be a cozy little religious discussion...

You hear very little of a drum kit's true sound at most live gigs with full PA systems. How good the PA rig is, the board, the room acoustics and the Front Of House (FOH) Sound person all play the biggest role in how good the sound is. Those things can make great kit's sound like crap and lower end kit's sound great. I heard an Export kit through a high end PA rig with a great sound guy sound as good as any high end kit. And i have heard some top end kits sound horrible. I would not judge the Crush kit at all by what you heard at a major live gig.

Thanks Slip, there was actually a lot of talk about the soundguy at the gig last night.
