Default White BLX 24" bass with Evans EQ3 frosted reso

Pics as promised! Thanks everyone for helping me choose a reso. I think this is the best choice by far. It looks amazing, way better than that old black reso! The rest of the heads arrive next Monday, so only the bass for now!

That is a very sleek look. I like it a lot! Did it come ported?

edit: A bit of research of my own has led me to believe that it did. I am definitely interested in picking up something like that for my blue kit, but I'm not sure if I want to go ported. I'm still not 100% about whether or not I want a frosted head or a white one, but your head really looks great. I think frosted is really the way to go on a white kit.

I just found a place that sells them without the ports, which makes me like the idea a little more. I can always add one if I decide that it would be appropriate. I can also buy a head without a port and then port over the evans logo, although that might be a bit close to the edge.

Ah, awesome! I didn't really want mine ported either, but it was the only one I could find. Actually - and this is really odd - I had a dream I set up the kit and the bass drum sounded all lifeless because of the port. lol. I don't think it will, though. My 22" BRX sounds fine with a port. Whether you go with white or frosted, I think your kit is going to look great with it. I'm very pleased with how this one looks.

Cool. How does it SOUND? What batter head are you using?

Not sure yet, the rest of the heads haven't arrived. The current batter is a black pinstripe, I believe.. not my ideal choice. The new one is a Powerstroke 3.

Looks pretty cool, would love to see the whole kit set up. I drooled over the mlx/blx series when I was a teenager.
