    Default Most Expensive Snare Sold?

There's a Tama bell brass snare drum on ebay going for $3,000 right now and it got me wondering: what is the most expensive snare that you have ever sold / seen sold and for how much?

I once saw a Tama bell brass go for about $3,300 on ebay several years ago. I almost passed out when I saw that auction!

Personally, the most expensive snare I ever sold was a DW 14x6 bronze for $550. Wish I hadn't sold it, may look into getting another one sometime.
    Knock it back
    Have another one
Drinking and drumming is so much fun...

I was going to mention both of those snares (the second is acutally called the Triumphal), but I've never seen either of those snares sell on the ebays. They're listed for a ton, but I've seen the same drums on there over and over for a long, long time.
I've got some DW's that I don't play. Tangerine lacquer with brass hardware...12x8, 16x14, 22x16 and matching 14x5 snare. PM if you're interested!

Being made of titanium im guessing it has a KILLER rimshot, but bad overtones. Although thats just a guess. I''ve never played a metal snare.
Working on a new project. Hopefully we'll have new music up soon.

Killer rimshots, "Yes"; bad overtones, "No". Titanium sounds more or less like a louder aluminum (to be simple), which is a fairly dry metal drum.

I know of a guy that sold a 1920s Ludwig and Ludwig Gold Triumphial for $46,000. But the seller REALLY wanted it!
