    Default Epro Tru Trac Heads?

As far as i can see these heads are the only electronic part of the shell it's self so wouldn't it be possible to buy the heads and put them on any kit?? Using what ever module you please?

If this would work a think pearl should release the Tru Trac heads in all sizes...

    Just a thought......

I feel this is what they should have done from the start instead of creating a drum line to "drop" them in. It would have been less expensive to put on the market and sales would have been through the roof! I guess, in Pearl's eyes, they can always offer the heads only down the road as the turnkey system they have chosen to market just might do very well. Time will tell.

From what I've seen, the trigger output is on the actual drum shell, so there's got to be some electronics in the actual shell as well.

...it would still be a working acoustic drum if there are some electronics attached to the inside of the shell

A seperate unit that connects to the bottom of the Head and then feed through the small cable through the air vent on a drum and you could easily retrofit those to another kit.

I'm guessing you could modify any drum to use the pads by installing a jack into the shell.

i guess that if they made a seperate one they should just have the output oudside the shell, wich can't be hard, since its just a little wire
