Default 1988 Pearl MX... careful, it's a monster

Just changed out the heads so I thought I post some shots while they still look decent.

I purchased this kit as a six-piece and built it up over the last 20 years. Several of the distinct one-piece lugs have broken and been replaced with two-piece lugs. The 8" and 10" toms are SMX series that have been lacquered on the interior of the shell and wrapped to match the rest of the kit.

When I gig, I play 3 up/1 down. But for you guys, you get the full spread.

    Front, no pies:

    Driver, no pies:

    Down low, no pies:

    Brass FFS:

I don't play enough double bass to warrant the investment. But for pure eye candy sake... it'd be epic.

    thanks!

    Thanks!

I'm not sure if it's screaming more for a second kick or a rack.
A rack would sure clean up the look. But I expect it'd cost a fortune.

i think you need a rack system fella looks nice though, back in the day when you were doing special orders to get the drums did you have to wait as long as people do now?

As I recall I only waited a a month or two between ordering my kit and delivery. But at the time, my kit wasn't a "custom" order. Stock sizes, stock finish, etc.
