Default My New GMS Grand Master Maple Kit

I thought I would use this great day in American history, Election Day 11/4/08, to debut my new kit. After much consideration on what sizes and finish to get for my next kit, here it is in all of it's glory!

    Details:

GMS Grandmasters in Light Blue Pearlescent fall to Natural Pearlescent

8X12 Rack Tom, 16X16 Floor Tom and 14X20 Kick

    Paiste Traditional Series 18" & 17" Crashes, 17" Traditional Top/Dark Energy Bottom Hi-Hats and a 20" Prototype ride

Evans Drum Heads Coated G1 on the snare, Coated G2s on the toms, EQ 4 Clear on the Kick

Dunnett Rail Mount and DW Hardware & Pedal

Wow, Dale. That looks absolutely phenomenal. Why is the ride mounted on a double-braced stand though?

The snare is old to my arsenal as are the cymbals and hardware. Most on here have seen it before. In fact I have quite a collection not shown. Sorry... it is a 6.5X14 GMS Vintage Maple Sanre with Tamo Ash Veneer.

Support, why else? I simply don't trust any thing else for a ride cymbal.

What about mounting the ride cymbal on the bass drum as well? It would look amazing and be less weight to carry around. The kit looks great none-the-less though. Also, what are the chances of getting a pic of your entire Paiste collection? I'm thinking about switching over in the near future and am always looking for ideas.

I know little to nothing about gms. I heard once they have poor American distribution. I dont know though. But that could explain why i hear so little. it could also explain why i have never had the honor of playing one.

You kit looks really really well put together. Beautiful. the fade is sooo slight i didn't notice it until i looked at the specs and closely looked again.

    Keep it. Hit it.

Does the bass drum not have the fade in it?

That is awesome, would love to see more pics of your cymbals. It all looks great, how you like the ride, I have one that is pretty similar, the bell is hammered instead of lathed though. Dry, dark, smooth, and mellow.
