    Talking Rogers R360

I moved this over from the Vintage Drums section but here it is! This is my 1970's Rogers R360 kit! The wrap is white but has some strange discoloration from the glue they used back then. It wasn't taken care of by the person who gave it to me, the bearing edges are dented in some spots. Some of the hoops are out of round and it just plain sounds like crap. Anyways I figured I would post a few pic's up.

Thanks! It's the lighting, I can assure you . But seriously they sound pretty bad and it's not my tuning lol. It serves it's purpose as a beater kit and hey it's better than nothing right?

^I'm sure you'll be able to make them sound good.

I'd be rocking some coated emps. on those drums. Maybe some fiberskins.

I tried coated amb's on there and they sounded pretty warm, I think I need to swap out the reso's though because diplomats are too bright for me.

^Good call... Amb's and dip's are pretty thin together.

Oh.. Don't forget to check out www.jamminsam.com if you're interested in rewrapping.

Get the bearing edges redone and buy some nice new hoops.. Problem solved! Good vintage kit!

Thanks for the tip! But seriously between us, if I re-wrapped these drums my dad would crap himself. According to him, "I'm lending you MY drums" therefore I cannot do that lol. Like I said though, I will be getting a Masters MRP this summer so this puppy can go back into storage until my dad decides to get back into drumming.

Btw I can't believe I forgot to mention this but that Rogers snare is insanely good sounding. With the right tuning I can get such a nice crack out of it. I mean its steel, what else can I say....unless it's aluminum and im wrong? Someone who is more familiar with this kit will probably correct me...

Probably a chrome over steel. You need to find a Dynasonic for that kit!!!
