PDP Rev Signature kit VS. Pearl Vision

Just today, I didnt play but heard the PDP 8 piece being played. It sounded really nice. But then im stuck on which to get the PDP or the Visions. I have never played the Visions or heard them being played so I am kind of shaky. They are about in the same price range, they have their own advantages and disadvanteges. So, what do you guys think? Oh yeah, if I do decide to get the PDP, does anyone know like websites where I can get them off from? I cant seem to find any that carry this set, or anywhere else. Thanks.

The Vision kit is easily better in terms of the build quality. I think they sound fantastic for the price, but ultimately the sound would be subjective. As far as availability, if you are in North America, any authorized Pearl dealer (like Massmusic!) can help with the Vision kit. I believe the Rev's signature kit is something that is exclusive to Guitar Center (and maybe MF).

I would vote visions.

I don't like the massive vision lugs, but that is pretty much insignificant

The Rev kit caught my eye too. I mean if you absolutley HAVE to have double bas kit it would be decent. The visions I've played have sounded stellar. The kick drums alone are worthy of praise. I also like the little touches like brass tuning inserts and the floor tom legs. I've even considered downsizing my BRX to a more modest Vision setup.

To each their own but I think the lugs are a perfect fit. The chrome on them is gleaming!

think of the math

price of 8 piece kit = price of 5 piece kit.
obviously the smaller one is better quality. double bass pedals work fine, and add on toms arent hard to find.
