    Default john bonham cowbell

    does anybody know the size of the cowbell that john bonham used......yes he did use a cowbell (look at jeff ocheltree explaining the kit on drummerworld)
    it would be greatly appreciated

    Not to be a weenie, but just go down to your local music store, and try out whatever they have there, and see what you like/sounds similar to what John Bonham used...if I was a betting man though, I'd bet it was an 8", but that is only a guess, with nothing more to back it up other than knowing what it sounded like.

    I thought he used a Ludwig by Paiste cowbell.

    just go try some cowbells and see what you like the sound of

    Ludwig offered two sizes of the Gold Tone cowbell manufactured by Paiste. The 4" was the model found on the Stones' "Honkey Tonk Women".
    Bonzo used the 5". I just snagged one for myself from eBay
