    Default WD40 to clean cymbals?

    any comments on cleaning cymbals with WD40?

    i have done it with my xs20 cymbals, it worked fine

    They turn yellow esp. on brilliant finish cymbals.
    WD40 would be ok as a cleaner if you follow it up with a good metal polish.
    Never use on Paiste cymbals!
    Because they're Paiste and should be given due respect. Use their cleaner and finish protector.

    WD40 will most likely eat away gthe cymbals protective coating.

    i use invisible glass from Prestone, removes stick marks and finger prints without removing ink from the logo.

    i use it, works better on traditional finish than brilliant finish. brilliant finish takes a bit more polishing.

    nope.

    i dont even know how a lubricant and anti-corrosive spray would "eat" away at anything

    They do make it sound different a little bit, but dirty cymbals will always sound better in my opnion.
