Default Converting Floor tom to Bass Drum

I got a 16" floor tom (CB 700 international series) and a Danmar Drum Cradle like this one.

I will post a picture of the floor tom later
(it was a wine red color took the wrap off.)

I was curious??? I am thinking of leaving it the wood color. What would be a good type of clear coat to use on it?

    thanks inadvance!

I used to have a white Pearl drum set. I have a PDP MX Drum set now in Emerald Fade. I also have a Pearl EXR drum set I'm selling that one.

Strange it was working this morning

anyway try advance search the term "refinishing" in the General Drum Set Discussions using "Search Titles only" option. You'll get two page of refinishing thread. Some are really well done, explaining each process stage.

In your case, I'd go with car bodyshop clear coat - any bodyshop dealer could help you, you can even get it in spray can. You can apply up to 5 coating layer.
