    Happy Belated Birthday Steve!

    My sincere apologies for not sending this out to you on the 14th.
    For the last couple of days, I've only had a few moments of time on to be on the PDF.
    I hope that you had a wonderful birthday, and that it was spent with your friends and family!

    Hey Steve;
    I shopped around for a few minutes and found some great deals for you. They are in the Masters Legend Thread but they are MCX's! Some look so exciting that I want another; but that won't happen LOL!!!!!

    No problem Steve. Why should he be mad? You've done nothing, except give some really great advice! Things that I didn't even think of, or forgot to say. That's one of the many things that make this forum so great. Even, with just over two decades of drumming under my belt. I love the fact that the PDF gives me the chance to learn something new everyday. And, the ability to interact with drummers with a broad range of experience. Some who are just starting out, and others like yourself, who have many years of knowledge and experience to share.

    Like you said, he just might be blowing smoke. It's a distinct possibility, but you never know. Even though, he may or may not use the advice, it's out there for others to take in.

    Hey Steve, quick question not about drums. Who do you have your homeowner's insurance with? I have Liberty Mutual, but they aren't renewing policies in Broward. I'm paying $2,800 a year now and the best price I can find is $4,800. Between home, auto and health ins, I'm paying 15k a year. I remember when I didn't make 15k a year.

    Hi Steve, I didn't **** to hijack Matt's thread. I know he probably wouldn't mind. Just had uverse Internet installed today. It took them 8 hours just to get the signal to my house. The actual instal took about an hour.
    Of course the first thing they did at 9 am was disconnect my old dsl. I was 35 when I got married to my present wife, and didn't have my first child until I was 37. I thought I got a late start. I was in the classroom for 14 years and became a behavioral specialist (discipline). I did that for 17 years and then got the female principle from hell. She put everyone that was out of the classroom back in and brought in her own people. I went back in the classroom at that school for one year then transferred to Stoneman Douglas H.S. in Parkland for my last three years. What a difference between middle and high. Let's try to get together sometime. Maybe we can even go out with the wives and let them see that there is a purpose to us being on the PDF.

    Thanks for the friendship request. I thought I sent you a request a while back, but I'm going to plead "senior moment." I retired from Broward County Schools in March of 2010. It was amazing how many times I was able to use the "senior moment" thing my last few years of work. Parents that would normally pounce all over me, just said that it's ok. I turned 60 in November.
