yesterday i was trying to put one of my crashes in other positions too see if i could find any other great positions, but i changed back to how i had it at first, well almost, not exactly the same... anyway, when i then hit my crash, the stand was buzzing or something, its not the cymbal, i tried with another cymbal and it still buzzes, ive checked all the uh, screw thingys u that hold the stand together...
the stand is b-1000 boom cymbal stand
anyone know what the problem might be?
sure it's not coming from the snare?

I actually have this same problem with my ride stand.. When the ride gets in motion there is like abuzzing sound.. I'm guessing it is something inside the stand that has come loose (lose, please correct me on this one) and is vibrating. Tried with another stand and the buzz goes away, so it's not the cymbal.. Try to take the thing apart and see if you can find anything.. Shouldn't be too hard putting it back together..
yea, must be the stand if you've elimated every other possability... maybe you 2 are/were using the same brand stand? Maybe they were made a little defective? Oh and loose is correct

Maybe the sleeve on the stand has small grooves in it and the cymbals touch them when they vibrate. I had that problem with one of my stands.

Or some of the plastic that grips the moving parts on the stands has broken off. I tried re-adjusting the height on my B-800 a few months ago, and little chunks of the plastic had broken off and were jumping up and down when I played the kick drum. You can't really hear it, so that probably isnt the problem. I guess you should check the bottom screws, and the cymbal sleeves.

Wingnut probably. The wingnut on my Z Custom stand is always rattling, but I live with it, because I don't want to tighten it anymore.

It might be inside the stand, metal to metal of the poles hitting together. There may be too much stress on the boom(if theres a boom) or the pole could be a little bent or out of round.
