Thinking of replacing the hi-hat rod (middle shaft) on my hat stand...Now i have a stand from what looks to be 1980's possibly very early 90's...My question is will a new Hi-hat rod fit the old stand? and also Could i possibly get the height measurements of the rod? Cheers.

Bring stand into a music store with the rod, and they'll tell you everything you need to know.

I had an older Tama stand (late 80's) and the rod was smaller than most newer stands.
