When you order a Masterworks set, is there the option of, say, requesting only 8 lugs per head on a 22" bass drum or a 14" snare drum, and other lug configuration requests like that?

Thanks

I'm sure Carl Peterson will answer your question once he gets back to the office tomorrow. He will have the definite answer.

Kicks are 20 lug on 22" and up, 16 on smaller.Toms and snares depend on size..14" snares are 10 lug with bridge lugs or 20 lug when CL100 lugs are applied.

Carl, is there a big difference in strength between the bridge and separate lugs? Thanks.

Okay so you don't get to choose then.

another quick question about lugs, I know you can get tube lugs on snares, but what about toms and kicks? are tube lugs available for those?

I know that mark schulman played a masterworks before he went from pearl. He had tube-lugs on his racktoms, but they were very flat, I suppose like 6*8, 6*10, 6*12. I think it's only possible up to 6" depth..

I don't think that a "normal" player can get this though, he was a BIG endorsee and did lots of clinics for pearl here in germany. But i dunno!
