Midnight fade with black hardware ( either live or photoshop )
and
live pics of platinum mist with gold hardware.
That would be a great help in picking the color for my BRX which I plan to get sometime soon.
Thank you.

Thanks cp999,
btw, is that a Tama rack? - it's not often you get to see one of those.
I'll also look around the forum for the other colors.

I would post a pic of my midnight fade w/ black hardware, but its too large a photo, how do i resize it and still keep the whole picture, cuz in paint if i resize it, it cuts some of the picture off.

if you do it in paint, instead of using "attributes", go to "stretch/skew", and mess around with the percentages until it's small enough.

Wow, this is one cool looking kit!!
Is it BRX or MRX? If it's BRX then how does birch sound with those Aquarian heads, and what are they - Responce 2?

Actually thats MMX, the heads are Double Thins over Classic Clears, Super Kick 3 on the bass and a Hi Energy on the snare, they sound amazing, sad thing is, that practice area is extremely small, nothing sounds good, i know they sound great because i recorded on them last week and the engineer was going crazy over them, we hardly did any tweaking, they just tuned right up easily, the bass is a cannon, the great thing about the Double Thins is that, they are what they are called, a thin double ply head, so it lets the drum resonate really well, but it has the punch and durability you get with the 2 ply head, i would highly recomend them, aquarian makes great heads. Thanks for the kind words.

Oops. I was looking to see if there's reinforcement rings but couldn't see them there, so I assumed it's either BRX or MRX, sorry abut that. Still, a very very cool kit.
I've heard a lot of good things about the double thin series ( being an Aquarian player myself ) but haven't tryed them yet, but will as soon as I get a chance.

Hmmm...I'm getting it all wrong today...sorry guys.
The thing is, there's a Tama rack model that dates to about 10 years ago and looks just like the one you've got.

WOW, I wish it was mine!! :D
This was a kit that Pearl had set up at last year's NAMM. They might have been selling them as a "limited edition" kit with gold stands and all, but I can't remember for sure. I do have some more pics though...

cp999 or msnyder (or both)....
Could either one of you post some close up pics? A pic of just a tom would be fine. I'd like to see what Midnight Fade with black hardware looks like up close.
Thanks.

Can anyone please put gold hardware on the pick of the midnight fade kit posted by Jonathan_M? ( photoshop of coarse, not the real thing ).
The set looks amazing, I'm just wondering what it would look like with gold hardware.

its hard to change black hardware to different colors, because it looks fake (well, it is, but whatever)
just go to the color selector
PearlMan
03-02-2003, 12:20 PM
Fixxxer - you've just opened my eyes.....on the color selector.
I didn't know that you could change hardware color too.
Ugh - PearlMan is stupid.
Seriousley, I'd always go there and use my imagenation for the different hardware colors - now my imagenation is very well trained, lol.
But anyways - thanks for letting me in on that.
GO COLOR SELECTOR!!! :D

yeah, the color selector is great, but i wish they would put zoomed in shots, and the new MSX kits too

Yeah, that would be great + the new colors like the diamond burst, emerald fade, etc...
But still it's the best color selector out there. Most other companies just have some shots and that's it.
GO PEARL!!!:D
