I have remo cs black dot batters and remo ammbassodors on the res side. ive heard lots of sets with coated heads and they sound great. should i put some remo coated ammbassodors on my batter side? i have a pearl export.

First off, let me welcome you to the forum! There's lots of helpful people here that would be gald to help you. I do recommend you post your message in the Export though forum since that's the series of drums you own. Might get a quicker response there.

hey andy,

i prefer coated heads. i use Evans G1's coated on the batter side and Evans G1 clear on the reso.

Aquarian all the way. Coated Response 2's on the batter and clear Hi-Frequencies on the res.

I like the coated G2's by evans. They're durable, and give me a lot of attack without sounding as dead as a hydraulic. I use evans resonants on the resonant side of the head.

I have the same setup as ambion and I sounds great and the coating is very durable.:)

aquarian satin finish on all the toms - have used them for about 3 years now & am very satisfied for all types of music

I use Evans G1 coated on the batter, G1 clear on the resonants, with and HD Dry on my 13" snare, an ST Dry on my 14" snare, and the EMAD head on my bass drum, w/ a Remo Ebony Pinstripe with 2 Holz on the reso side. Coated heads give you a really warm sound, no muffling required at all.

Remo coated on my snare only. Clears on everything else.

yo, i use remo coated ambassadors on the batter but am planning to switch to remo coated emperors.

Yeah, I agree...Been using this setup for years. Can't go wrong:)
