Carl,

i know that tamo is only used as a veneer ply and used only for cosmetic purposes only, but, can i order a set with mahogany shells with an outer AND inner ply of tamo? the inner play doesn't have to be finished in any particular colour, just plain natural (just like you guys would normally do).

Would this be do-able? and most important, would the inner ply tamo have any 'bad' effects on the sound of the drum?

I think the veneer would generate a "buzz" on the inside..You wouldnt want to counteract the warth of the mahogany with a thin veneer that has vertually no sound char what so ever..Just a thought..
