i think the next contest should be to the members who have 400plus posts or something, cuz i've never even heard of those members! but, congrats to them cuz they won fair and square, i really wanted that snare:rolleyes:
How bout 200 plus, and then, increase spamming punishments. That sounds fair. But ya, congrats to random jedi

durn. yeah i think there should be like 4 diff levels, and 4 diff prizes. like using this one as an example:
The Remote Hats thingy shouldve been given to a junior member with atleast 1 post
The Pedal to a member
The snare to a senior member with like 100-400 posts
And the Drum set to Senior Members with 400+ posts
maybe having them type their user name and number of posts in the address bar and the final submission with the number of posts is the one u get to be drawn from...i dont know

yeah, spamming is intentionally and pointlessly posting to bring up your number right?

They should only have had the contest to members of 500 posts or more. And they should have been here way before the announcement of the contest to make it so only deserving forum citizens get the rewards for their contribution to the drum community.

i think 500 posts is too high.....ive only started posting a week ago and i have 78 already ......anyway when i get to 500 we can have that contest lol

Interesting, when I read your post saying you had 78 it was exactly one hour after that and you have 100. 22 in one hour? Intersting.....

i must say i think this is sorta childish... now after the winner is picked you guys choose to rationalize but why did i not hear these discussion earlier? i'm not meaning to come across so negative and I do agree that members who post often and stay active should of won… but what your saying is that people who might be active in this forum but don’t always find places to reply, that does not have 500 post (or such)do they get the shaft?

Thanks guys for the congrats.:)
Personally, I've never been in this area of the Pearl forums for one reason..I don't own a Masterworks. I don't know how many posts I have, and I don't really care, but I have been replying to peoples' questions about my winning. I guess it's all explained in the general thread's announcement of winners area.
i think anyone who didnt win should just shut up about it and quit moaning and trying to say "it should have been this, it should have been that". I was a lottery, plain and simple. Are you guys the same that on the national lottery you moan that if only you had chosen all your numbers on the same line? Tsk tsk.
Random- you lucky b*stard. I'd love to have been you, but I am not so there you go. Good luck playin.

Congrats to all who won! And...if you have toooo many (if possible...lol) drums taking up too much space, maybe you can donate them to be parts of future sweepstakes...just kidding! What I meant to say is...umm...you should give them to me! Yah! Once again, just kidding! Anywho, congrats, and play them loud, and play them proud....Cause they're PEARLS!

Oh yeah, I forgot to say, maybe I'll win something more than a "scratch off" lottery ticket or more than 20 bucks on lottery tickets! LOL...sorry all, I'm in a goofy mood, been up since 10 pm, and had to do once a year inventory at Sam's Club, and it's 9:30 am right now, so if you know what it's like to have a few hours of sleep or less...you'll understand I feel like a goof right now, and can't go to sleep, since I got stuff I gotta do soon, and am not about to risk having another seizure, so weighing out my options here, I'll stay a goof!
Once again, good luck to all that won! We ALL had a fair chance to win. Sometimes I'd enter the contest 1 email a day, and sometimes I'd go and enter 3 in a row (which was the max per day allowed), so I don't have the slightest clue what the big deal about amount of posts is, I don't know if that was in the contest rules or not, but I hope there will be another time, and either a firecracker or a popcorn (no butter, please...lol) snare is added to it, as well, along with some fancy Pearl percussion instruments!
All I can say is, Pearl does a good job in trying to make a happy drumming/percusion community! Have anybody here ever entered and/or won contests that are in Modern Drummer or DRUM! contests (sometimes you can enter contests online by going to www.moderndrummer.com and www.drumlink.com , just so you know)? I have, and all I've ever gotten was my mags that I've subscribed to! Sometimes they have pretty good contests, but it seems that Modern Drummer doesn't have as much contests as they once did.
I wanted to again thank everyone who participated in our first ever "web only" sweepstakes.
Our Drummer's Forum gives us a unique opportunity to interact and communicate with so many of you, you'd be surprised how many of you members come up in board room discussions and conversations around Pearl. Pearl is, and always has been, a very close knit group of associates and friends. For us this forum has grown the size of our Pearl family, and we can't even begin to express how much that has meant to us, and how much each and everyone of you mean to us.
Having contests like this is alot of fun for us, it gives us a chance to give back a little to the people that make this company great.......our Pearl drummers.
There will be other contests, just for Forum members, like the one that just wrapped up. And we will change up the rules and the games for future contests and sweepstakes, hopefully giving everybody on the Forum a chance to participate.
Once again, you guys rock, keep on keeping on. And keep on making this forum the best place to talk drums and percussion on the web.
Cheers,
Sticks

Hey Hook, how long has this website been up and running, and how exactly did it originate (wow...a big word for sanman!)? I love learning simple things like this!

my rules for it would have been
1)registered at least a month before contest was announced
2)have at least 100 posts before announcement
3)have absoulutely no history of spamming
also i think pearl should hide the number of posts and just have it the profile. peopel care too much about numebr of posts
