Yes it definatly is Bubinga, I just don't know which color is over it!
So if anyone can help me with that, or Carl?

I don't think it's Lilac Burst, Lilac Burst goes from purple to some kind of light pink-white, the color on this drum goes from purple to some darker purple and back to the first purple. Kinda soft and inversed radioactive burst.

But if someone from pearl could tell me which this is, I'll be very thankful! (even that thankful that I'll buy the set!:p )

That is definately Tamo. You can tell by looking at the woodgrain. Tamo has a watery look to it.

Sorry but there's a fault in my last post, it should be TAMO, not Bubinga. You can see it by the woodgrain indeed. It has a wattery look you can see it by picture 1. But you can hesitate on picture 2 yes, I first thought it was Bubinga, but now, I hope it's two times the same set, and so it all would be Tamo. ;)

I still hope on an answer from Carl too.

Thats a kit we did for the trade show in Germany..It is indeed a purple stain over bleached bubinga..BUBINGA BUBINGA BUBINGA....not tamo..

Although bubinga has a natural red tint,when bleached out, you can attach colors to it..

Well, maybe it are just drums to you Carl, after all that time you worked at Pearl, but to me, a loyal Pearl-addict, it's my dreamkit, and even stronger: IT'S PEARL BABY, P-E-A-R-L!!!
