What kind of sound does tamo have?
Would it ruin the sound of a maple shell?
Can you get a 100% tamo or bubinga drumset?

In most kits, the tamo is just a finish ply on the outside of the shell, therefore the effects on the shells sound are minimal if any.

I've never seen a 100% Tamo kit, but Bubinga..yes. Sonor and Tama currently have kits with shells made of bubinga.

Tamo is just an outer veneer..It wont hinder the sound of the shell..Its basically cosmetic..:D

not bad, i find the best way to make realistic black hardware is to select all the chrome hardware, then take the brush, set it on black, normal brush setting, with opacity about 47%, then select a large spray paint-type brush, and go over the selected hardware 2-3 times, untill it looks real, i did that here:

ok, that might be where im goin wrong. i did that one by just using 1 "coat" of black at 60% opacity. ill try that one. im doing one now, and it looks pretty cool. its a sig snare, ill pm it to u when i get it done. im usin 60% on it, too.
