I think he's refering to the flash intro. But it's not just a recording of the drums, and even in the begining where it is, they're not tuned and or mic'd and or mixed very well.

The quality of the recording was taken down considerably to keep the file size small. But yeah, it probably wasn't recorded well. I don't remember how I recorded it, but I'm fairly sure the drums were tuned just fine.
