Well the first two stops on the Pearl Reference Tour have been a huge success and widely attended - and thanks to all of you guys that showed up. Will Kennnedy gave two amazing clinics, one at Memphis Drum Shop (http://www.memphisdrumshop.com/) and one at Fork's Drum Closet (http://www.forksdrumcloset.com/) as the first two stops of the Reference Tour rolled through Tennessee.

Here is some video of from the Nashville event of Will Kennedy on his Reference Series kit.... man o' man do I wish I was this good!

Here is one lucky cat at the Nashville clinic, Heath Attig won a 20 ply Reference Snare signed by Will Kennedy. I think Slipknot1 had to provide security when he walked to his car because everyone wanted this snare! :D

If SK1 wasnt there, I would have corndogged Heath and stolen it....or atleast offered him the $19 in my pocket for it.

What's happening with Will these days? Is his Kennedy Krew CD still being worked on, and will we ever see him around Ohio / northeast USA? Is he touring with anyone? He is by far my favorite drummer, but I've never been able to see him live.

just got back from the west la clinic with Omar Hakim. never knew Raymond Massey is such a badass drummer :) raymond demonstrated the drums without mics. even outdoors they sounded amazing.

one thing i noticed it was hard to hear the bass drum for both drummers. they're just so low sounding, you feel them more than anything else.

I haven't seen much lately about the contest drawing for the Reference Series kit on this forum. Since the final stop on the tour was yesterday, when will the drawing be held?

Hello.....somebody?????.....anybody????????

I'm (actually, my daughter is) in the running for these babies! I asked Raymond Massey via email, but he forwarded it to somebody else and they haven't responded. I'm turning blue from holding my breath.

(and what does *WOOT mean, anyway??????)

I think we'll have some info in the next few days. I'll walk down to Raymond and Steve's office and find out for you guys. I've been out sick for three days, so I've been a little out of touch.
