Hi everyone. I just want to share with you my fantasy. This would be my dream kit's specs. Hope you like my idea. Can anyone make other suggestions?

Finish:
Just A wild idea! I want my drums painted with Michael Angelo's "The Creation". Much like the ones in the ceiling of Sistine chapel. Bass Drum Decal would be God and Adam.

What Do Think about my kit?

i think its good that ur religous. i personally wouldnt prefer the gold plated hardware, but if u like it, awesome!!!!!! Every1 his own...

I would personally substitute a 14" tom for the 13"--makes a better interval.

If you get a chance, Steve Smith's new DVD has some incredible work on toms, and the clarity of the toms from one to another is just stunning to hear--they really sing. After listening to that, I don't think I'd ever want a drum in an odd diameter, over an even diameter

Hope you do get to put together your dream kit one day. Whatver you decide, it's sure to sound great!

I'm not actually religious. I just like the Idea of Having a Masterworks drums painted with a "masterpiece" of Michael Angelo. I'm kinda like artistic. Well but just 5% religiou here. hehehe anyways thanks for all the inputs.

The Michaelangelo 'Sistine Chapel' set was already done by Bobby Rock, I believe. I thought it looked okay, but the scene wasnt exactly lined up due to the roundness of the drums, but it was cool. I will try and find a pic...

Thanks for the pics. I didnt know such drums already exists. All I can say that it was beautiful.

Anyway, so everybody in this thread is in a brink of downward spiral as you said. Well go ahead and leave this thread my friend "whilst you still can". No big deal dude. Musicians really have different attitudes. Some are like me, and some are like you. Like every other drummers, we are all unique. This is a Drummers Forum, drummers are supposed to exchanged ideas here and not to criticize.:cool:

If you're really good at your craft doing all those paradiddles, shuffles, rudiments, stick control, spinning, chops, dynamics etch well good for you my fellow drummer. I may not be as fast good as mike portnoy, but I'm getting there soon.

Yeah, someone has already thought of that design and I wasnt the first. Let me think of another design....

Say, the finish would be hand painted with faces of the great drummers of different eras. Bassdrum would be Gene Krupa, Snare would bew Buddy Rich, So on and so forth... hehehe

Let me think other finishes....that would be all for now.:D

If I was designing a finish, its would have demons, and devils, blood spilling over skulls, erotic vempire whores, and flame. Lush with death, war and battlefields. Id have some sorta of gimmick on the front of the bass drums, that moved everytime I hit the bass drum, Like a pentagram the spun when I made a hit on the bass drum.

Im too busy tryin to figure out why one would want a 22x28 bass drum to worry about **** preferences. even if thats depth by diameter, its freakin huge. if its diameter by depth, you would really have to kick to get the air flowing through the shell. I wounder if you could even get a kick that big from a company that doesabout anything like ocdp?

Slipknot1 said something about OCDP making a bass drum that is 24x40 (diameterxdepth), so I guess it would be possible.

wholy crap, you must be kidding. 40 inches deep!?! the only reason I would have one that big, is if I never played it, and only showed it to non-drummers, and have them say "ohh that looks awesome. its so big". I imagine it would feel like a bass drum without any front reso head, but with less volume

Imagine having a bass drum that size, and it vistalite, so you could see right through it. Oh yah, and don't forget to add a pillow...not for muffling, but maybe sleeping between gigs....lol.

About all this discontent about everything on this thread:

First of all, I personally don't care about anyone's lifestyles. I wasn't put here to find things wrong with other people, I have enough time worrying about lil ole sanman...lol. When it becomes an issue, like it has in this thread, all I can say is, hey, it's their lifestyle, their choice, but not mine. Well, except for drums, of course, that's totally different, because I believe that one thing that every person on this planet has in common is a love for some kind(s) of music, of whatever choice. I like most, but not all kinds of music myself, from jazz to contempary christian to some pop/light rock to...geez...I could be here all day, but hey I have other things to do with my time! So please keep all this in mind. I'm not critizing anybody, but simply explaining myself here. Keep up all the drumming, since that's why I'm here to begin with!

For the 24x40 OCDP has to take 2 24x20 shells and combine them somehow, that would be a neat drum to see, but I see it as pointless
