Been there! Although not a good place for checking out the sound of reference or any other drum, i actually played a ref snare and one tom. The ref shells look amazing.

BTW, anyone who gets the chance of listening/watching thomas lang should do so! he played on a nine pedal!!! sonor kit. Although the audience was (i guess) 90% drummers, many people (including myself) thought he was playing on top of recorded beats when he was in fact playing (he called it pseudo melodic patterns) with his two feet only...sick!!
