i hate dust!!! i clean my set like every week and yet the next day there is a crap load of dust on my drums. i just hate this. what do you guys do to keep the dust off? how could i keep the dust off? does it matter that it's in the basement(probably)? my ludwig doesn't get dust barely, would it just be because of the finish you can notice it more on alpine green?

i dont really do anything to kepp the dust off. i just use one of those feather duster things when the dust is noticeable. being in the basement is probably why your set is dusty. dust shows up easier on darker colors too, i think the main reason is the finish

ok thank you.
Beato makes a single and double bass drumset dust cover. Runs a little over $30, made of cordura and has little weights on the edges. Most large retailers carry them now.
My house is EXTREMELY dusty cause we have 4 in house dogs (labs) and the sweeper gets run all the time. I just use soft cotton rags for the finish and an old shaving brush to get around the hardware about every 2-3 weeks on the kit.

Try throwing a sheet over them...well when you aren't playing them...just a suggestion instead of buying one of those dustcovers...

I use one of those car dusters, and it works great. Remember those lame commercials Don't rewash your car buy the California car duster!

An old bed sheet (A double one if it's going to have any chance of getting over) or two will do the trick.
