Wraps?????????

ok i am getting a OCDP kit and i don't get the finish things...........i want one that is safe for the drums.....like the laquer .......what dose it do dose it protect the shells and the finish..............if so what finish would a silver sparkle with blue textured hoops and 50% offset lugs be??

Wraps are a bit more durable on the road and tend to not show marks as readily as a stain/lacquer job. Some scuffs can be rubbed out of a wrap that will be permanent on a lacqured drum.

I believe OC can do custom lacquered sparkle finishes as well. You should look into that.

Exposed wood finishes require handling care. Actually no more than a wrap finish. No matter the finish you want your gear to stay fresh. Cases are a must either way if you are transporting your gear. Even across town.

Check the finish samples in the drum catalogue you are interested in.

think of your wrapped drums as a counter top and your lacquered drums as a fine piece of furniture. Which could take more of beating?
