Hey guys,
I found some very intense double bass exercised using bass pedals and hat pedals but i cant do them with my hat stand. I have a Pearl 820 series stand and cant get it close enough to my bass footboard. I have several options that come to mind. First, i can try to adapt my stand to fit. Second, I can buy a brand spankin new Pearl h-2000. Third, a rh-2000. Is there a noticible difference between the h-2000 and the rh? Anyone know of a upgrade or something for the 820 to fix this problem? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

You can try and move the legs on the high-hat stand until you can put it right next to the slave pedal.

whatever you do, dont take off the leg. I learned that the hard way...

personally, I dont like pearl hi hat stands. would much rather have a dw or tama.

So you have 2 bass drums? Or you just have a double pedal? If you have 2 bass drums, then you would have to buy a "Hi-Hat to Bassdrum" Attachment from Pearl. Heres a pic of it. It goes for $39.99 at MusiciansFriend. And if you do just have 1 bass with a double-pedal, thats the only suggestion I can give.

I took all the legs off my hi hat stand - even tho it was a swivel tripod Pearl stand....
