Fixing my Paiste 2002!?!?!?

There is a maybe 1,5 inch crack in my old Paiste 2002 20" ride (used as a crash).

I'm thinking is there is any possibility to fix this?
If not, would it sound really bad if I cut it off were the crack is, or the whole way around??

i wouldn't try cutting it, that would probably completely change the sound of the cymbal. I read somewhere that if you drill a small hole at the top of the crack it will stop it spreading any further, but having never cracked a cymbal I've never tried it. I guess you'll just have to experiment, else buying a new one is pretty much the only option.
