the innovations china is sweet. very smooth sound. dark and trashy with a pretty quick decay. i use it a lot for riding and doing different patterns on. You will definitely be happy with it.

I spent considerable tim choosing these. I always bring my hats and my ride when I cymbal shop to make sure the cymbal I buy does not clash. Zildjians vary so much even within a size and line that it's a real adventure finding the right sound! I dig that part of playing Zildjian.

Wondering how old that K Medium Crash is. I've played zildjian for about 6 years 7 years now, and i've never seen a K Medium Crash, but i would kind of like one.

Second the A Custom line was started in 92' so i think you mean 90's A Custom. :)

I worked for Music & Arts Center in Rockville, MD during the late 80's when A customs were first being cast - could be '90 though - but I know it was a couple years before '92 when they came out in numbers. I remember when these hats came in they were on the shelf for a week before I snatched them up. Sold off the top and have been using my old '61 top hat since. My time frame may be off a bit.

The K Med Crash is an oddball I picked up about the same time as the A custom hats - '89 or '90.

Um, why would you say Zildjian sucks?
This doesn't sound like a very informed opinion.
Are you basing this on your experience with one cymbal?
Generally speaking, few drummers like the Z power crash - why? Because it's a very heavy, relatively small diameter cymbal, with a high profile. This means it does one thing - cut. It isn't supposed to sound pretty. The Z's are designed for loud music in large venues; if you're playing in your basement or local pubs - of course it sounds bad! Even in large gigs, your Z is gonna sound out of place, because all of your other cymbals are so thin by comparison. Yes, even your hats and ride are considered "medium".

Zildjian doesn't suck. Perhaps it's your cymbal-selecting ability in question...
