iknow this has been asked about before but just to make it clear , one more time, can you get the hardware like optimounts,cymbal,or tom stands in black with out ordering a kit?? or do you really have to make ahuge investment to get all of your drums and hardware at once? it seems impractical that you couldn 't get extra hardware in black , especially if you owned akit! how would you expand the kit?? my local dealer tells thats the way you do it though. is this true ??? sounds ******ed to me. say it ain't so.

Right now you can only get the black hardware with the kits, you can't buy it seperately. It would be great if Pearl would start selling them seperately but I don't know if there's enough demand.

some times isee in this forum, conflicting responses to this question. some say yes some say no. i was hoping an actual pearl employee could answer this question ,once and for all.

I'm 99% sure you can order colored hw seperately. Search the board but I think Hook, or Carl said you can. Failing that, phone Massmusic (massmusic.net) they will tell you if you can order them or not.

You CAN buy the hw seperatly.

I bought my set about half a year before Pearl started making black hardware, and I bought the hw after the set.

The only thing I'm not sure about is if you can buy black rims, lugs and optimounts on theire own. But I think so, at least as replacement parts this must be possible!

i talked to hook though, and he says that you they may not offering the stands any more,just the drums. but he never answered back on my question about the optimounts or hoops.
the toms arms i can get powder coated... but the optimounts??? that woul suck if i had to dis assemble them myself and coat them excuse my french but thats really FUCTUP!!!(xuse my typing)
maybe the hardware optoin wouldn't be so damn expensive if you offered the option on lower lines like sessions hell, even ex selects in alimited run therby selling more units and increasing poffit etc....its rediculous the crap you go through for an option that you can get on any other brands costom set. sometimes with no charge and most of the time, half the price of pearls. i appreciate the help though , but its frustating to not get answers from the people at pearl or conflicting answers from diffrent poeple at pearl . sombody out there, at pearl , can we get an offical word on this?????
