I went intoday to make the very last payment on my kit. The kit was in the stores in another music shop but when the music shop i was ordering through went to find out when the kit could be delivered to me they found out that kit kit isnt mine. My kit wont be in till march and im going to L.A soon to showcase and i need to have a kit for that also i will be doing some gigs here in ireland before i go and i cant wait till march to collect my kit so i am now forced to go out on saturday and buy another new drum kit that is on display in a shop. When i buy this kit i wont have enough money to buy sabian HH or HHX cymbals. I will have to just settle with Sabian pro cymbals.

I also have to go and buy hardware aswell and carry cases. I cannot afford to be buying all this crap due to band stuff being done like photo shoots and video shoots for our single and to pay for the trip to showcase in L.A.

All i have to say is i hate the person that made the mess with all this. Because of them i have to go spend another €6,000 that i dont really have yet!

not sure about this but.......can you rent a kit???? ask the music store where you bought your kit from...they should be able to work something out for you.....if you can rent a piano I don't see any reason why you can't find a drum kit to rent...just a thought... good luck....L.A. Los Angeles in California???? (I'm sure you can find a place there)

I bet it would be cheaper to rent a kit in LA than buy a kit and transport it all the way there.

Its a lot less hassel if i go and buy a kit. I could rent a kit every time i need one but in ireland there is only one place that does that and they are very expensive and i will need to get it for a lot of nights during the week and id say that from now till my kit comes in i would have spent more renting a kit than just going out to buy one.

This is a kick in the balls type job but it happens. I dont have time for hassel. Im too busy with music and other things.

BAMF,

Dude you're the man! Helping out a fellow drummer.....props dude.

I've travelled the world and I have to say drummers get along fabulously. We can ALWAYS talk about gear LOL !

Guitar players on the other have a different outlook. I the mental process when two guitar players is this:

Two guitar players talks with the other all the time simultaniously saying to themselves: "If you were in a band with me, YOU'D play rhythm." :D

BAMF you are seriously the man! Im trying to sort out some stuff with my manager and a music shop in ireland to see if i can get a BRX for cost price. I should be able to get a BRX with a 22bass drum and a 10 and 12 tom and also a 14 mounted tom for about €1200 which is the same price as an export over here. So if i can get that deal im going to buy that kit! But all i have to say is BAMF you are the man!

I have those sizes in a 5 year old Purple mist MMX. 10x10, 12x10, 14x12 w/ a 22 Kick and a 13 brass sensitone snare. The drums are in good shape and look pretty on stage in the lights. You should be able to rent stuff though, for cheaper than buying. Whenever I played europe I renting was cheaper than bringing my stuff over. If you are buying a whole new set...why not expain your situation to Pearl. Maybe they would give you a deal. They wouldn't be losing any money.
