Greetings drum gurus and gear heads...

I'm going to get my bearing edges re-cut on my Masters MRX (haven't had them done yet and have owned the kit since '98) and I'm wondering... should I get "double-45's" on all the toms (8, 10, 12, 14, 16) or get "double-45's" on the high toms and "rounded 45's" on the 14 & 16? or perhaps fully-rounded? Any suggestions would be helpful. Also, the 10 & 12 are going to be cut down from 10" depth to 8", so the attack will be increased on those two drums.

Cheers!

Keith

double 45's make for an enourmous amount of ringy resonance if they arent perfect.

I would suggest getting in contant with the folks at pork pie drums and asking what they think. They are some of the best edge re-cutters around.

Pearl will redo them.
