Hay, I think over all that the Zildjian rock line is relativly nice. But one problem that i have is that the crashes have to be whacked hard to get the right sound. So no jazz for these cymbals.

ZXT's are a cross between ZBT's and ZBT plus' Its because of so much confusion that arose between ZBT's and plus' and the small differance in price meant people though "well, teh plus' arnt much mroe expensive- I'll go for those" Meant ZBT sales wern't to great So they've got the ZXT's Just one line of cymbals to replace the 2- Zildjian will soon be stopping production of ZBT's and Plus' as far as I know.
I wanna get some though coz some look REALLY nice and will probably be in my price range being like zbt's and being sheet metal cymbals.

Hi!
They r good, looks so good, and the best that i've found on them, is that they offers so many sizes... but I haven't tried them... I'd like to... I have zbt pluz, and if they r kind of better, congratulations zildjian, better looking and better sound...

Can't remember where I read it, I think it was in Modern Drummer, but I'm fairly positive that the ZXT's are only replacing the the ZBT-plus'. They are keeping the regular ZBT line for basic, begginer purposes.

My workplace has just taken delivey of a full set of ZXT's which were supposed to go to Rhythm Magazine.....D'oh!!!!
I've had a look and they seem OK - the Trashformer is one to watch for. It seems to made out of offcuts/leftovers off sheet bronze, its burned in colour, warped and sounds really horrid, but what the hell, its a great effects cymbal!!!

If you want a pingy ride......(regardless of wut magazine reviews might say,) they are not pingy, and the control ride is not dry at all. Really High Pitched and they have a lot of wash.
Look at it this way, for the rides you get what you pay for. For everything else you get way more than you pay for.
(My God I'm a loser.):D

I just bought a ZXT 18" med-thin crash...I really really don't like it. It sounds like tin and has really slow response. It doesn't really fit into any situation. Maybe it's just the size, but I'm definetly returning it.

doesnt matter if they look nicer, they donT even sound AS GOOD AS b8.
Thats the problem with Zildjian, Z custom, A and K lines are top pro cymbals at fair prices but beginners cant justify buying them and ZBT and ZXT are a long way behind.
B8 are the best beginner cymbals I think. Thtas why I have them allthough I can justify buying some top pro cymbals in the summer cos I'll be able to afford
