i think it is becos of the relatively lower price

The lower price does play a role in its popularity but you can't deny the fact that they sound awsome, in fact I think they are the best sounding kits on the planet.

just picked up a 4 piece (no snare) brx in wine red. I wanted a srx, but it was up to an 8 month wait for the color I wanted.(topaz mist). I was able to upgrade to the brx for only a couple hundred dollars and they had it in stock. This is an awsome sounding kit, You have to hear the bass drum to believe it..

They really are some of the best sounding drums out there, and it definitely doesn't hurt that they are less expensive.
