1st of all most ppl on this board(including Gene O. Tony L.) know that iīm totally loyal to pearl !
But i have to post this. and ask for the reasons of putting the sr 17 strainer on the ES1465 (eric singer sig snare ) and ? #2 why is the lever attached to the strainer with a rivet and not with a normal screw so u could fix it if it gets loose ... that really bothers me .. i canīt even attach a SR-20 without drilling new holes
never thought about using screws insatead of rivets?

Boo,
I think Eric said OK to that strainer.
I'll pass your suggestion to R&D. We've had problems with the rivet on Export strainers but not on the SR-017. Nevertheless, replacing the rivet with a screw is a good idea.
I've had several comments like that about other pearl products (i.e. drop clutch: I think I mentioned this before). For future reference is there a place that would be good to post comments like that where they are likely to be seen? Or is it just as likely to be read anywhere on the board?

Pearl should drop all strainers and just use the gladstone style ones.IMHO.
Gladstone sytem is the best on the market.
