Shallow Brass Snares???

Anyone have a good recommendation for a 14x4'ish brass snare? good wide tuning range, and sweet voice.

also, how does shell thickness fit into the scheme of things? how does a 1.5 mm compare with a 3mm shell?

pearl FF 3.5x14" is the closest i can think of

thicker shell will be higher pitchedand if u want it shallow u porlbably are looking for a higher pitched sound so go for 3mm if possible

I have a 3.5x14" FF and i love it. I have it with a brass shell and some times i will change it for a copper one, depends what kind of mood im in.
