I thought since the new reference Masters series is out, maybe everyone could post pictures taken at NAMM or elsewhere. Also post information on the drums or your personal view on it.

Overall, I think the concept is solid for matching the shell construction, materials, bearing edges and sizes. I'm jonesing to hear that 20 ply snare!

Amazing concept.
Love the new Optimounts and lugs. The Pearl folks have their act together. IN MY OPINION their quality is unmatched. They way that they manufacture their shells is A++++++. They always strive to upgrade and improve their products. Any successful corporation must do this to survive in this day and age. They are also very good at marketing their products.
I own Masters Custom Series kits and I guaranty that I will be purchasing a Reference Series set within the next year or so.
I will post a few photos per your request eventhough they are NAMM photos from this website shown before. There probably aren't too many other photos available at this time. I think Pearl will very soon have a Reference Series Catalog available at local drum shops. My local Drumshop tells me they do have a small brochure available but I have not yet seen it. I may scan it when available and post it on this thread.

We don't need yet a new thread on this subject.
And Reference is a series of it's own, it's not a part of Masters.

.............and has its own designated thread just under Masterworks and
above Masters totally dedicated to the Reference Series.

The Forum Administrators have been kind enough to move this thread into the reference section. The hardware itself went through some serious innovation though. I think I will get an 8" tom to add to my Masters BRX since the new concept is not match your kit with the wood type, but what works well for drum particular size. Unfortunately they dont have natural wood colors. Mine is natural BRX. Hope Pearl could do some natural colors for reference.
