yeah i was just wondering what is the best heads for rock type music that will last a hard beating, right now i have a factory bass, remo encore on my 10'' 12'' and 14'' toms and a remo contolled sound cs coated dot thing on the bottom, this would be a great help, please tell me for the bass mostly coz it is going dead, cheers

tomtoms=pinstripes on the tops , ambassadors on the bottom...powerstroke 3 kick drum heads

I have pinstripes on top and emperors on the bottom. they sound good.

At NAMM I saw a new super heavy-duty snare batter head from Remo. It's 20 mil thick (that's two Ambassadors) plus a 5 mil dot plus it's coated! It sounded surprisingly good considering its thickness.

That's amazing. I can imagine that head to be good for low tuning but not for high pitch. How was that snare tuned.
