I just bought my second kit. It's a blue mist ELX 2002, but anyway,
for anybody else that has one, which I assume is like almost everyone here, Do your bass drum legs come loose while your playing? It's only happened twice in like a month, but it freaks me out to see the whole thing just slide forward while I'm playing. I've got the little wingnut things as tight as they will go. Well, thanks.

Yeah, it's on a carpet. What I mean is where the legs (spurs) don't stay in position. WEhen I play the bass for an hour or so, they come loose and the bass drum shifts forward. (the little needle stays in the same place in the carpet) thanks
yeah i got my ex at the end of last year and that happens to me it only happend a few times but its a bit worrying cos i havent gigged in on them yet, the last thing i need is it happen in a middle of a song. it never used to happen to my forum that i had before this kit!! whats going on pearl?????

I bought a new export a couple of months ago and I've been experienceing the exact same problem. Try putting the legs on more of an angle so it is harder for them to allow the bass drum to fall back. It seemed to work for me.
Cheers:D

thanks guys
i got my export in 2000 and experienced the same problem. What happens is the legs don't completely slot into the bass drum attachment until they are in the exact right spot. It takes some fiddling to find this spot but after you find it once you just set the length of the legs so the base drum is level and from then on its pretty easy to slot the legs into the correct spot.

I have the legs extended all the way and angled forward so the bass drum is slightly raised and have never had any problems.
