Try to find the squeek by putting your ear close to the pedal and listen until you find it.

Commonly the spring squeeks at the top or bottom loop(s) of the spring. Putting oil there is the fix. If your spring does not have felt on the inside, put a piece of felt in there.

If you still have trouble finding the squeek, take the pedal to the shop where you bought it for them to check.

Remove the pedal and put in on a bench. Clean around the bearings really good. The bearings should be sealed and should not need oiling but I don't know what kind of pedal you have and it may be a bushing that is making the noise. The squeak could also be coming from where your spring attaches to the cam so clean and lube this too.

Now, go to your closest bike shop and buy a small White Lightening chain lube (best 4 bucks you'll ever spend and the bike dude will think you're really a genius since you obvoiously know what you're doing). Contrary to popular belief, don't use WD40! WD40 is a space age corrosive remover and is really not intended as a lubricant.

Now, take the white lightening and shake the container up really good and soak down all bearings. Wipe the excess with a paper towel and reinstall your pedal. You'll be playing 1/16 notes on your bass like Bohnam (sp) in no time.
