hey guys
hope you can help me, also this is my first post so i hope to be a good addition to the board.
anyway can someone help me out there i have a 2001 pearl ELX in amber mist,in maghony but i'm not sure, anyway i'm gonna be ordering some extra toms soon a 8x8, 8x10 and a 14x14 or 12x14 but i heard the new exports are made or poplar i was just wondering if there will be much difference in the sound/tone of the woods?
also what tom would you go for out of the 12x14 and 14x14 i play in a heavy metal band,doing slipknot kinda stuff i really like the sound of smaller toms as opposed to deeper toms, my set up will be 8x8,8x10,10x12,? and 16x16 once i order these toms,i just wanna know what u guys think?
