Hey guys, the name's Paul Royer. I'm from bakersfield, CA and I have a question about my set... I bought it from my uncle a few years back, and I have not been able to find any information on it anywhere... here are the specs:

Pearl Wellington Model # 50620
Grade A Rockwood Cylinder
Bass: 24"
Snare: 14" steel
Hi-Toms: 13" & 14"
Floor-Toms: 16" & 18"

I have the original tama high hat stand and bass pedal it came with, along with all of the original wellington stamped drumheads. I have since then bought new heads to preserve the originals... My uncle says that he went to a buddy rich training camp and he actually played these drums... although he could be full of it... no way of knowing.

I guess my main questions are:
Why can't I find any info on these drums?
If they are in GREAT condition, how much would they be worth today?
Are they worth keeping and puting money into, and altering to meet todays standards, or should I just buy a new kit?

Any help you might be able to offer would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys

SUPER BUMP (Super Old Thread, but I never got an answer)

Thought I would give it another try. Drums have been untouched since this original post. Everything stored away carefully.
Ended up buying another set, and still not sure what to do with this set.

Can I suggest you take pics and post them in a new thread in the "Vintage" section of the PDF...

Some of what you posted in the first post of this thread is a bit confusing:
Your thread title is Wellington drums, but in the body of the thread you said you wanted info on your Pearl Wellington drums and have the original tama stands etc.
I don't know every series made by Pearl, but Wellington certainly rings no bells.
So are you saying the drums have a pearl finish?
The Star company became Tama in the 70's...

We need pics!
Pics of the kit, fittings/hardware, snare drum and the strainer, and particularly good quality in focus pics of the badges.

Also drum sizes.

So get it out, dust it off and get snap happy :)

We're a curious bunch lol

Is your uncle still around?
Can you ask him what era he thinks the kit is from?
