massmusic.net is about to raise their prices on sabain cymbals to 50% off list from what was about 55% off list, so get them quick i got the 411 about at about 4:45 eastern 1-9-03. So guys get em quick.

ummm... both Sabian and Zildjian have always been available at 50% off, never 55

Of course, you could always go to your local music store, hear the cymbal, then shop for a cheaper price online

i picked all my zildjian through their site. the samples are pretty close

I don't like to pick without hearing, but my wallet allows only that... I heard a Sabian AA medium, and based all my crashes off of that. I've only had one two surprises so far, and they were for the best. But I feel I've been lucky.

I did. The music store around here wanted my arm, leg, and left nut for those hats.

Here's an idea:

Get the price online, present it to the local store. If they don't match it, they don't really want your business.

Also, hearing one cymbal doesn't guarantee the same sound from all others of the same model. I have three 10" A Custom splashes that all sound very different.

thats what i do . . most music stores will gladly match a price as long as its not unreasonable and you dont go in with an attitude.
