Hello everybody!
What would it happen if Pearl sold cars?
I believe that everybody would drive in Tama, DW or Yamaha!
I possess a kit Export Select Ebony Mist ELX 825 and I have just ordered from the extension ELX-7. HORROR!!! Delivery period is of 3 MONTHS!!!
Who can explain why to have to wait so for a long time?
Is there no stock at Pearl?
Is it because I live in Europe (Belgium) and because there is only a boat all the 3 months which crosses the ocean?
Is it an error of the importer?
If you have also of to wait so for a long time to be served or if a responsible of at Pearl reads this message, do not hesitate to give me a valid explanation!
Beforehand thank you.
(Sorry for my poor english, i'm talking french !);)

No, Piens don't sale Pearl !
It's a little store with good references.
I think it is a pearl follow-up problem !

Hmmmm probably because the shipping time would be half a year when you'd order Pearl from there ;)

Take into consider they make probably thousands of kits daily (except masterworks) and did you order it in europe or form an international dealer like midwest percussion or mass music. If so, maybe thats the reason. UPS does Pearls deliveries. So check with your dealer.

:( well guys i will tell you something. i have had my kit for 6 months now. and the polish i had at first is totally gone. i have had my snare throwoff fixed 2 times the chrome wont stay shiney it looks tarnished 10 minutes after you clean it. along with a few other things. i am really disappointed in my purchase. so i guess the customer service should be the same.

I've had my kit for just over a year and it still as shiney as when they came out of the boxes. I haven't had any problems with them. Even though it did take a while to get my drums, I will have to say that Pearl's customer service is the best. The dealer that sold me my drums didn't seem to take an interest in customer service. All I got from them was the run around. I was told that I couldn't change the color of my drums. I called Pearl directly(even though I didn't think they would talk to me since I'm not a dealer) and spoke to Chris. He confirmed that they had all but one drum in stock in the new color I wanted and that all I had to do is change the order with the dealer. I called the dealer, had him change the order and had the wait time cut from "x" amount of months (maybe even years) to eight days. I was stoked when I saw that UPS truck pull up!

If you've broken your snare throwoff twice in 6 months you're doing something SERIOUSLY wrong - that said, I did break the throwoff on my old forum series kit ONCE after YEARS of abuse - but within a week Pearl got a new one to my dealer, for free. (No problem with customer service there). If your chrome is tarnishing that quickly, then I don't know what you are cleaning it with but STOP! Try something else! And also, it may sound stupid - but keep your fingers off it once its clean if you want it to stay that way! Chrome is chrome, it gets dirty - and you chose to have it on your kit knowing that. Last I checked, 'magic-stayclean' chrome hadn't been invented, so Pearl aren't at fault here I'm afraid!

well first off....im not doing anything wrong. if i was throwing off the snare[for what reasons i dont know, i have 9 toms] i could see some reason to break. but i dont toss off my snare. the rivit has fell out 2 times. im cleaning with nothing but swifters. no cleaners or anything harsh. i dont touch my kit hardly at all because i know finger acids is the worst thing on chrome. i did have a detail/custom shop. so i do know a little about cleaning different surfaces and finishes. my referance to being pearls fault is not about cleaning abilities, it has to do with the problems i have had with my kit. several i didnt state here. but i will, my shell covering broke loose from its shell. my bass hoop didnt fit well at all, throw off broke 2 times. tom stand wouldnt tighten up so the stand slide down over a couple of days. and i DONT abuse or mistreat my kit AT ALL. all was fixed under warranty, and found to be a production problem. so now you know.
