Hey all, i got a question. I have a Remo 18" djembe. I was wondering what you all think. The 18" is huge, but sounds AWESOME. The 16" didn't sound quite as good, but it may have been a lot easier to lug around. There were even smaller ones, like 14" or 12," but I love mine a lot. So whats better...sound or mobility? Is it worth it lugging it around for that sound. Let me know.

yeah, its a monster. The 18" was the biggest they offer, and so I got it. $275, but its worth it. It also weighs a ton.

It all would depend in where are you going to use the Djembe,I use the 18" in the drumming Ensemble for the reproduction of the Bass part in the African, and Brazilian rhythms, and the 14" for the 'middle range' patterns,in the Ensemble (which have about 4 drums,4 bells patterns and congas).

i use mine for church. I love the bass, and the edges are great. I also jst use it for fun playing. Also, I want to use it for a drum circle someday.

Well if you have a car I don't see any problem with it.
