Has anyone had problems recieving drums from Pearl? I had placed an order in April for an ELX825 in Blue Mist and never recieved it. I was told a story about flooding in China and the jobs being moved. This supposedly made them lose their source for Nickel-Cadium. I don't believe this story. What have you heard?

I'm from Wisconsin. I didn't get that info from my dealer. I got that from the Pearl Corporation. After sending a couple e-mails to a guy at Pearl, I found the number on the site and tracked him down to call him. That way, he couldn't keep blowing me off by saying "Your dealer will have the most acurate information". When I finally got through to him to get some answers, he told me that story. I didn't know what to say to that, so I just cancelled the order.

very strange... as most people here know, I sell a lot of Pearl gear, I've not heard that once. There have been some delays but for the most part Pearl has kept themselves pretty well stocked as far as I can tell

PS - you wouldn't happen to be related to the Link family from the Minong area, would you?

No, I'm not. I use this Screen Name because I love the Legend of Zelda games. I also run a business named Link's Armoury.

Chuck Iken from Instrumental Music Co. in Green Bay gave me his name. I tracked him down and that's the story I got.

Where'd you order them from? That's rediculous. I'd cancel, and re-order with another company. Andy's a good guy.
