After a few years of listening comments about the legendary recording-studios,(Sugar Hills),where a lot of Jazz,Rock, etc.,musicians trusted their recording,I was able to get in as session musician,(last Friday and Sunday),and now I jnow why the recommendation keep coming, they even have the service of a Drum Sound Designer,it is a guy that if you go with a CD(of how you want your drum to sound like),after listening,he would comes with gears(including five differents snare drums) to set up the tuning as close as possible, then the rest is done by the producer and the sound technicians. Also open minded(beside their experiences) to any subgestion which could be aplyed.A good set up for the Congas and Timbales. The producer,Dan Workman.

I have worked with Andy Bradley on a few occassions, he seems to have a good grip on recording and is a nice guy. It is pretty standard to have four or five snares available to get the best sound for a track but the mix is where the money sound is.

Greg Babineaux is a very good percussionist and is on call in Houston. He seems to be the "Go to guy" around the Houston area. Have you recorded with Greg? He is very good on tabla drums.
