hey guys,

does anyone know if www.massmusic.net are any good? becuase the prices are...sooooooooooooooooooooooo low. i mean, i just want the p120p and it's like $48 on there. but then, i'm in england, so, would they ship to over here? cos then it works out somthing like £26 for me. plus postage. which still shouldnt add up to the £60 i would pay over here.

if anyone knows let me know please.

thanks.

He sure is. I ordered my Pearl S2000 snare drum stand from him a week and a half ago and got it in only 3 days.He gave me a price that I couldn't say no to and that was even with the shipping.Heck he beat out my local shop and it was also with shipping included.Andy was very friendly and eager to help me with my order and get it to me ASAP.Thanks again ANDY.

James i just have to say before you buy, im in scotland and ive ordered from Massmusic before, the service was great etc but it wont come through customs for free, I payed i think it was $140 for my 20" classic china, although i dont really know how much i payed, i thought it was 200 dollars, no idea, but still, so 140 dollars for it, sweet, BUT, shipping cost 70 dollars, i ended up paying 250 dollars somehow, which is still fine, 'cause over here they are 200 quid or something.

BUT

when it arrived in UK i got hit with VAT AND a clearence charge, totalled up to 35 quid, so think carefully before doing it, i wish i lived in America or could go over to buy stuff, importing sucks

Andy & Co. have done better by me than some local retail types. Not only are the prices and service great, they are good people.

AND: Andy hangs on the forum and has a good feel for what's the cutting edge both in the industry and in terms of what us drummers are looking for.

I had a major let down while prepping for a tour earlier this year. BOTH the local retail dude AND the company rep (NOT Pearl) could not "walk the talk." Andy produced in less than a week AND fixed a follow on warranty issue just as fast.

Andy does a great job. There have been times when they are very busy when getting through to them is difficult. I ordered an electronic kit a month ago.I planned on getting my Hart Dynamic cymbals through them, but,I didn't get a phone call back until AFTER I ordered from riksmusic.com. I will say that they ALWAYS make the customer happy in the end.

ps: oh let me agree, Andy & co, the best online retail drum shop in the U.S.

original rant gone, sorry massmusic, owe you an apology and I think I need to stay away from buying stuff now, I always just start worrying, if I buy in the local music store I worry that I'm paying too much (about twice the amount you actually receive from me normally for stuff in shops)

I didnt check email cos I signed off after 5 mins, bit stupid yeh but it's a family computer and I was allegedly doing nothing important.

the old post has been stricken from the record :)

not much of a reply I could send that wouldn't be yet another annoying e mail from me anyway, sorry man I start getting worried too easily, It's ironic that I'm probably an annoying customer type, hey used to drive me insane all summer but anyway, cheers, next Friday sounds cool.

I think that's it, I get worried cos it seems like it has so far to go from AZ to Dublin and everything worries me.
Your patience for my idiocy is appreciated.
