Hi,

I have a 2001 SRX kit in "Vintage Fade" & I'm looking to upgrade ALL the shell hardware gaskets on ALL my drums (i.e. - metal vent holes, bass drum spurs, model plates, lugs, snare strainer & other snare parts, etc...) from the old original flat paper style to the new soft rubber "form-fitting" glove-like style.

Below is a copy of Pearl's News Headline from their website describing what I'm talking about:

"NEW Masterworks-Style Rubber Gaskets

All Masters Series, Session Series, and Export Select Series drums are now equipped with Masterworks-style Rubber Gaskets under the lugs and under all the other misc. shell-mounted hardware. Instead of typical flat gaskets, these are form fitted, like a glove, to the bottom edge of the lugs for improved resonance and cosmetics."

If someone (i.e. - Gene) out there knows the correct Pearl Part Numbers for ALL of these gaskets, for ALL of the various SRX & MASTERS shell-mounted hardware & lugs, for ALL of the different drums (i.e. - snare, bass drum, toms, etc...) in the SRX & MASTERS series, would you please post them and/or email me them. Please & Thanks. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks very much,

P.S. - On the MASTERS series, what are the part numbers for the new stainless steel bass drum "key tension rods"? Also, the black plastic washer that sits under that rod's square key head (that is recessed in the D-054 bass drum claw's rod hole opening)? Also, the rubber O-RING that's on that tension rod after the claw?

P.S.S. - The metal vent hole(s) on SRX & MASTERS series....is there a way to remove them/reintall them properly, in order to replace the gaskets under them from the old flat paper style to the new glove-like rubber style? If so, does that require the use of a special tool? Is so, is it possible to obtain that special tool?

Thanks very much once again,

Mike

Stainless steel tension rod for bass drum = SST-6115
Black nylon tension rod washers = NLW-12B/12 (12/pack)
Rubber O-ring = NP-104/12 (12/pack)

The air vent can be ground off with a Dremel rotary tool. The machine that we use to set air vents is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 500 pounds. When you replace your air vent, I suggest finding a custom drum shop that has tools to do the job correctly.

I'll check with R&D to get the gasket numbers.
